“King of the Road” examples left the Ford assembly line as standard GT500s and were upgraded by the Shelby Automobiles facility in Las Vegas, Nevada. This example is finished in Vista Blue Metallic with silver stripes and features fog lights, a rear spoiler, Shelby badging, polished exhaust outlets, and a carbon-fiber front splitter, mirror caps, and vented hood with satin chrome-finished hood pins.

Polished 18″ Alcoa wheels are mounted with older Goodyear Eagle F1 tires. Stopping power is provided by four-wheel disc brakes with Brembo front calipers. The Shelby GT500KR package added SVT-tuned suspension components including enhanced springs, struts, shocks, and sway bars as well as a strut tower brace.

The seating surfaces are upholstered in Dark Charcoal leather with “GT500KR” and Shelby signature embroidery accenting the front headrests.
